Our waitlist for long day care and 4yr old sessional kindergarten is managed under Merri-Bek City Council’s ‘Central Registration System’.

Fees
As a not-for-profit service, we endeavour to keep our fees as low as possible. Fees are determined each year based on budgeting requirements by the Committee of Management.
Current LDC fee is $161 per day.
Please note – Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is available to eligible families. It is highly recommended that families apply for CCS prior to care beginning to avoid having to pay full fees.
Applications for CCS can be accessed through your MyGov account.
In 2024 our sessional kindergarten programs will be free to all families and $2,000 will be deducted from fees for those in kindergarten programs in Murnmut Biik and Baanj Biik Rooms.
Priority of access
As an Approved Childcare Service, we are required to follow the Priority of Access Guidelines as determined by the Australian Government. Please be aware that families with a higher priority level will take precedence on waiting lists and with allocation of places. The Priority of Access guidelines set out the following three levels of priority:
Priority 1: a child at risk of serious abuse or neglect.
Priority 2: a child of a single parent who satisfies, or both parents who both satisfy, the work, training/study test.
Priority 3: any other child.
Within these main priority categories, priority will also be given to the following groups:
– Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
– Families which include a disabled person
– Families on lower incomes
– Families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (e.g. non-English speaking)
– Socially isolated families
– Single parent families
Long Day Care
Offers are usually made via phone or email throughout October/ November/ December for the following year.
Once an offer has been accepted, we will call you to book in a tour of the centre and to collect the enrolment pack.
Please note a Bond payment of a day’s full fee per child is required for all new families joining the centre, this bond will sit on your account until your first payment is charged. This bond is non-refundable if you decide not to start care at BBCC.
All new bookings begin from when the centre re-opens after the Christmas New Year break
Sessional Kinder
Applications are given additional points if you apply before 31st May for the following year.
Offers are usually made via email during September/October for the following year.
